SRAPPA 2020: September 26-30
SRAPPA 2020 takes place on September 26-30 in beautiful Tampa, Florida, also known as the Cigar City. The Tampa Bay area features a large metropolitan area which includes Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, bordered on our west by the white sands and turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding the incredible estuary that is Tampa Bay.
The 2020 conference will focus on Sustainability, Technology, Leadership/Communications, and Facilities Planning & Construction as our main educational topics.
SRAPPA is one of six regional organizations dedicated to the operation of buildings on campuses of higher education. SRAPPA consists of members from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Mexican states of Campeche, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, and Yucatan.
With one eye on providing excellence in today’s educational environment, and one always trained on adapting, enhancing, and transforming the facilities of the future, APPA seeks to create positive impact in educational facilities on three important levels:
- APPA transforms individual facilities professionals into higher performing managers and leaders, which…
- Helps transform member institutions into more inviting and supportive learning environments, which…
- Elevates the recognition and value of educational facilities and their direct impact on the recruitment and retention of students, faculty and staff.
APPA used to stand for the Association of Physical Plant Administrators in the late 1960’s through the early 1990’s. Today, the association is known as APPA: Leadership in Educational Facilities and is most easily recognized and referred to as simply “APPA.”
