SRAPPA is accepting nominations for the Vice President position on the SRAPPA Board of Directors. About the Role:

The Vice President plays a critical leadership role within SRAPPA, working closely with the President and other board members to support the association’s mission, oversee strategic initiatives, and ensure continuity in board leadership. The Vice President position is part of the leadership succession plan and typically transitions into the roles of President-Elect and then President.

Ideal Candidates:

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Are active SRAPPA members in good standing.
  • Have demonstrated leadership within SRAPPA, a state APPA chapter, or similar organizations.
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Are committed to advancing educational facilities management across the region.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the President in executing board and organizational initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to committees and regional programs.
  • Represent SRAPPA at regional and national events.
  • Help plan and support the annual SRAPPA Conference.
  • Step in for the President when needed and prepare for the role of President-Elect.

  • Term Length:

    This is a multi-year leadership commitment that includes advancement through the roles of Vice President, President-Elect, and President, followed by a year as Past President. Exact terms are outlined in the SRAPPA bylaws.

    SRAPPA K-12 & Community College Liaison

    SRAPPA is seeking nominations for a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as our K-12 & Community College Liaison on the SRAPPA Board. This volunteer board position plays a key role in connecting and supporting facility professionals from K-12 schools and community colleges across the Southeastern region.

    About the Role:

    The K-12 & Community College Liaison serves as a voice for facility leaders from these vital educational institutions, ensuring their needs, challenges, and ideas are represented within SRAPPA. The liaison fosters engagement, promotes professional development, and builds stronger networks between SRAPPA and K-12/community college facilities professionals.

    Ideal Candidates:

    We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Work in or have significant experience in K-12 or community college facilities management.
  • Are active SRAPPA or state chapter members.
  • Are passionate about advancing the facilities profession in education.
  • Possess strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Representing K-12 and community college interests at SRAPPA board meetings.
  • Promoting SRAPPA programs and resources to colleagues in these institutions.
  • Building relationships and expanding SRAPPA’s outreach to K-12 and community college professionals.
  • Collaborating on conference sessions, professional development, and member engagement.
  • Term Length:

    Three years
